What do you do when your body does something of its own volition, and you can’t control it? You get mad at yourself, of course.
It’s a natural reaction, and it’s one that’s present in all living creatures, human or not. We’re generalizing here, so take our opinion with a grain of salt.
This small, floppy-eared puppy knows exactly what we’re talking about. He went through the same thing, and he couldn’t hide his frustration.
The furball was chilling on the backseat of the family car when he started hiccupping. Now that in itself is quite annoying, but not knowing how to stop it is even more so.
At first, the adorable pet sat still. He hoped that if he did, those annoying sounds coming from him would disappear, but they didn’t.
The puppy tried to endure, but he got madder and madder by the minute. He thought it was an invisible force attacking his body, and even so, he wasn’t letting it go without a fight.
He growled and protested, and the hiccups stopped for a bit. Then the hiccups returned with a vengeance to the puppy’s dismay, and he snapped his head back to see if he could catch whoever’s doing it.
Aww, it’s your body’s reaction to a lack of oxygen, pup. We hope we could teach you how to do deep breathing, but since we couldn’t, try to drink more water.
Perhaps you wolfed your food down too fast, hence the hiccups. If you didn’t, don’t worry, those won’t be around forever. More water intake and a couple of zoomies around the yard should do it.
Don’t get mad, doggo. It’s your body’s natural reaction, so even if it’s a bit uncomfortable, it means that your body’s doing its job to warn you of something out of the ordinary.
We hope you never get a bad case of them again. Thanks for making us laugh today!
