Golden Retrievers have a reputation for being smart and obedient. But they are also known as kind and friendly dogs. This is why a lot of people – from rescuers to people with disabilities – depend on them a lot.
In today’s story, you’ll witness another situation that showcases the breed’s reliability. A Golden Retriever named Georgia has been taking the online world by storm by helping a neighbor in need.
Georgia’s special delivery service
In a video shared on TikTok earlier this year, you could see Georgia preparing to venture into a chilly, snowy night. Her mom explained that their neighbor needed a canned drink, and it was Georgia who was going to deliver it.
Georgia was wearing a cozy lavender jacket in which her mom slipped a can of grapefruit seltzer. After that, she went outside.
The video then cut to the neighbor’s POV. You could see the Golden Retriever braving the snow until she reached the neighbor’s doorstep. The neighbor then got the canned drink from the pocket of Georgia’s sweater. She even thanked the dog for her service.
After the delivery, the neighbor screamed through the street, asking Georgia’s mom to call the dog back. Upon hearing her mom’s voice, Georgia then ran back to her house.
The internet loves Georgia!
Georgia’s kindness and obedience captured the attention of the netizens. Currently, her adorable video has 2.7 million views. It also has more than 520K likes and over 2K comments.
One commenter gave Georgia a new moniker: Dog Dash. The same commenter was clearly referencing a popular food delivery service called DoorDash. Another commented that the Golden Retriever gave the acronym GPS a whole new meaning: Georgia Postal Service.
Some people in the comments section funnily asked why the neighbor didn’t give Georgia a tip, such as a treat or a pat. Don’t worry, though, as she got it the next time she visited her neighbor. When Georgia delivered another item, which was a COVID-19 test kit, the neighbor generously handed the pup some tasty treats.
