Howling is what our furry best friends use to communicate with each other. It is widely believed that before humans domesticated them, wild dogs communicated their whereabouts by howling. Others, however, have hypothesized that the animals used howling to scare off other animals that were intruding on their territory.
But for Lucia Luna, a 24-year-old mother, a dog’s howl works as a pacifier. Yes, you read that right. Lucia gave birth to her daughter Rozzlyn nine months ago. As expected of infants, they will always cry for any reason, and we would do just about anything to make sure that they stop crying.
Fortunately for her, she has a Rottweiler named Hagrid. As we all know, our canine buddies take it upon themselves to guard our infants. But Hagrid is not only a guardian since he also helps Lucia with making Rozzlyn stop crying!
In an amusing video, Rozzlyn was crying in front of Lucia, who chose to take a video of the scene in their living room in Nampa, Idaho. Behind the camera, Lucia was imitating her child and we can hear that in the background.
Then, out of nowhere, Hagrid suddenly joined in with a quiet wail. Even though it was a modest version of what the dog was capable of, it was enough to capture Rozzlyn’s attention! If Rozzlyn could speak, she would certainly ask what that was. She also even stared at Hagrid because she was confused about what was happening.
A few moments later, Hagrid howled again. The dog even stood up when it gave out a mesmerizing and powerful cry!
Rozzlyn couldn’t help but smile when this happened. And right at that instant, the infant forgot why she was sobbing to begin with.
Lucia is definitely very thankful to have Hagrid help her make Rozzlyn stop crying.
