In order to maintain social distancing, curbside delivery has become one of the standard procedures for fast-food restaurants. However, curbside delivery has never been more easy and entertaining until now. With the help of a trusty little golden sidekick, see how an owner safely waits for his order.
An adorable video posted by Chick-fil-A at Caraway Village recently went viral on Facebook. In the said video, you can see Ellie, the Golden Retriever, running to meet the fast-food restaurant’s employee in Chapel Hill.
The employee hands the bag full of Chick-fil-A order to the awaiting retriever. The adorable Ellie grabs the bag by its handles using her teeth and trots back to her owner, Nick. While she jogs to her human, Ellie’s tail can’t stop wagging.
She knows she’s doing an excellent job as she puts a smile on Nick’s face. Nick told the restaurant that this is what her beloved Ellie likes to do. Helping with food delivery is one of her favorite things.
This information doesn’t come as a surprise since Golden Retrievers were initially bred to retrieve fallen games during hunting. Their soft mouth allows them to grab onto something and carry it without causing any bite damages.
But with wildfowl hunting no longer popular, they’re happy to help deliver anything to you – including your ordered meals. Over two weeks, Ellie’s helpful little errand already garnered more than 18,000 likes and 15,000 comments. Many fellow dog owners were amazed at how well-mannered the four-legged dog was while bringing a bag of meals.
Some people commented that their dogs would have already run off with the food and started eating it themselves. Others commended the helpful dog for a job well done. One also pipped in with a comment that said, “I hope there was something in that bag for her!”
Using our mobile app for curbside delivery has never been more fun or easy. Just ask Ellie.
