The German Shorthaired Pointer in our story today is named Walle, and he’s a really active pooch. He is also a really patient animal, yet at times, he may also become the most impatient dog. This can be seen when he is really excited and he cannot wait to do the things that he wants to do. Fortunately, his parents are compassionate, loving, and understanding of their pet.
Walle was taught to be patient, but on days when his enthusiasm takes over, he whines when he is denied his desires.
His family was out hiking one day when they came across a creek. Since it was a shallow one, they decided that playing fetch with Walle would be an excellent idea.
The Pointer was willing, but he did not wish to sit and wait for so long. Dogs were designed for action, and the energetic animal could not wait to get to the exciting part. However, Walle’s father was eager to teach him the value of patience and discipline. His frequent commands to his very enthusiastic dog to sit and wait made Walle whimper.
Dad used the opportunity to tease his spotted dog. He pretended to throw the stick and Walle even went after it. Poor doggo! The pet would not stop whining, and the mother had to instruct her husband to toss the stick already.
This time, the stick flew and Walle ran after it. He splashed into the water, but encountered some difficulty when he reached a deep section. But this did not deter him in the least.
Walle is not particularly adept at swimming, but the Pointer was able to fetch the stick and return it.
We are pleased that you showed discipline, doggo. There will be more situations like this in the future, so please be more patient next time.
