Charles Melton is well-known because he is the Riverdale star. But more than his acting skills, Charles also has a soft spot for dogs. The American star recently adopted a Siberian husky and posted a photo of them on his Instagram page. The pooch came from an animal shelter, where Charles adopted the pooch.
Based on his Instagram post, Charles wants to raise awareness about shelter animals. He likewise wants to inspire his followers to do the same thing because dogs in animal shelters deserve a home. Ever since Charles adopted the pooch he later named Neya, something has changed in Charles’ perspective. He said that he wanted to help as many shelter dogs as possible through his influence.
After adopting the pooch, Charles and Neya became the best of friends. The two do several things together, like going out on adventures and sleeping together. In most of Charles’ Instagram posts, he shows how much he enjoys his time with the pooch.
According to Charles, one of his fondest memories of the pooch is when the dog saw snow for the first time. They were in Mount Hood during that time when the pooch saw the snow for the first time. The dog was so amazed at what she saw and even played joyously amid the snow.
Also, Charles recently partnered with Purina ONE to further his support for shelter dogs. The company has donated $6.5 million to animal shelters for their animals’ food needs. This is what pushed Charles to sign the partnership because he knows he is in the right company.
Charles is enjoying his time with his pooch amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The two are staying at home and enjoying each other’s company. According to Charles, the pandemic has brought him closer to his pooch.
