Golden years for dogs should be lived as happily and comfortably as possible. Moreover, resting comfortably with a family makes them feel more loved and appreciated. Meet Dreadlock, a dejected rescued senior dog at a Thailand shelter. He was already six years old when he arrived, and at that time, he was filthy, had different kinds of skin problems, and his fur was dreading.
The staff at the Soi Dog Foundation helped him restore his health and get adopted. Through medications and natural remedies, his skin issues were quickly healed. From there, a renewed hope was built.
But despite having a very calm, lovable, cuddly personality, adopters never expressed interest in him. As a result, this poor dog eventually shut people out. Feeling disappointed, he stayed in the corner of his shelter most of the time.
Seeing all others get adopted, day-to-day life becomes almost unbearable. Little did he know that he was bound to have his forever family to spend his golden years! A British family offered to keep him through the shelter’s international program.
The staff announced the excellent news and tried to make him understand that he would visit his new family. With this, he was joyful and hopped around as if he were celebrating the news he had long been waiting for. He showed a personality that they had never seen before.
Dreadlock had never been this playful and happy, and the staff burst joyfully. Like everyone else, Dreadlock deserves all the happiness in life. He can now live a joyful and comfortable life with a forever family. This happy ending story is an excellent reminder that if you think there’s no more hope left, think again. Your time will always come. It was all a matter of perfect timing of what is planned for you.
