There is no dog owner who would want their dog to go missing. In countries like the USA, dogs often get microchipped. It makes them easier to find and track. However, in South Korea, microchipping a dog is not a popular practice.
When one couple somewhere in South Korea lost their dog, they became extremely distressed. Their dog was a Jindo named Bori. The couple searched far and wide for her, but no one had seen her.
They eventually gave up and lost hope. However, after a year, a mysterious white dog resembling Bori showed up in front of their house. The wife was the first one who saw the dog. She went out and immediately called out Bori’s name.
When the dog responded, the wife knew that it was her long-lost dog. The husband also rushed outside and couldn’t believe what he saw. Bori’s tail was wagging, and she welcomed touches and petting.
Bori gained a lot of weight since the couple last saw her. She also became a very picky eater. She refused to eat dog food, which was something she enjoyed eating in the past. The couple couldn’t figure out what happened to Bori that made her that way.
The couple asked for the help of a breed expert. They wanted the opinion of someone who was an expert in Jindo dogs. They wanted to know if the dog they’re taking care of was actually Bori.
The expert examined Bori’s old photo and compared it to the new one. Her ears became straighter, which was something that happens to Jindo’s as they get older. The similarity of the nose patterns from both photos confirms that they are the same dog.
The couple was glad to know that Bori had indeed returned to them after a long time. They won’t speculate further about where she had gone. They are contented that she is with them again.
