Dogs get into all sorts of trouble. Thankfully, humans are willing to go the extra mile to help them get out of sticky situations.
One pup in Australia found himself stuck in a lake. His efforts to leave the water were futile due to thick vegetation surrounding him. Nevertheless, a group of kind individuals came to his rescue.
The pup in the lake
Brothers Daniel and Chris Jipp and Chris’ wife Laura Julian chanced upon a wayward pup while they were standing outside their neighborhood in Northern Territory, Australia. The said pup, who seemed to be without an owner, ran into a nearby lake that was filled with overgrown plants.
Right after entering the lake, the pooch tried to get out. He probably sensed that the spot he was in was quite dangerous. However, the thick plants kept him in place.
Worried that the dog would get tired, Daniel, Chris, and Laura immediately tried to reach him and pull him out of the water. But the trio failed three times.
Rescuing the trapped pooch
The group then came up with a new plan to rescue the dog. According to Laura, Chris told his sibling to get a lilo or an inflatable air mattress from the house. Daniel came back with a blow-up crocodile and a giant air-filled flip-flop.
Daniel and Chris each grabbed an inflatable. The brothers waded into the lake toward the trapped dog. Laura, on the other hand, filmed the rescue.
In the clip, you could see Daniel and Chris using the inflatable toys for support as they moved forward. Once they reached the dog, the brothers carefully carried him back to safety. You could also hear Laura say that the pup was lucky.
Laura told a digital news agency that the dog, whose name was Jaxon, reunited with his family right after the rescue.
