It makes us happy whenever we see animals of different species interact and play with each other, especially if the animals involved are unconventionally compatible.
Case in point, Sean Cadden from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, shared a video that perfectly explains this unlikely interspecies friendship. Their family goat recently gave birth to a kid and named him Zoomer. Four days later, the family introduced Zoomer to their other pet named Bud, a four-month-old Labrador puppy.
The video uploaded on Youtube went viral, earning more than 5 million views. When you watch the entire video, it’s easy to tell why.
The video shows Zoomer and Bud already together in an enclosed space indoors. A pet fence surrounds a portion of the family’s dining area is, and both animals are inside it. Zoomer appeared comfortable enough to approach Bud as he lay on his doggie bed. The kid paced back and forth, aware and curious of the Labrador’s presence.
Bud, on the other hand, is the total opposite of Zoomer. He felt excited to hold himself back from running and started chasing Zoomer. Eventually, he jumped out of his bed and would stop once in a while to sniff Zoomer.
The kid appeared overwhelmed by Bud’s energy and size, though he kept calm throughout and appeared at ease with him. Their interaction went on like this for a few minutes, with Bud knocking down a few pieces of furniture.
People who saw the video agreed that Bud is an energetic, curious, and playful puppy but was remarkably gentle with Zoomer. On the other hand, Zoomer’s calm personality was the total opposite of Bud, yet they got along so well. They also agreed they should switch names, as ‘Zoomer’ seems more fit for the Labrador’s personality. In contrast, the ‘Bud’ seemed more appropriate for the gentle kid.
People can only speculate about Zoomer’s and Bud’s interaction, as we will never know what was on in their minds that day. But anyone would agree that these two are bound to have a great relationship and a lot of shared happy memories as they grow together.
