In Memphis, Tennessee, a Pitbull was saved by Kent and Melanie Pifford from Streetdog Foundation, a nonprofit rescue organization. When they found the dog, he was so timid and had multiple wounds on his body. He was previously a bait dog, and they left him to die on the streets.
They named him Liam and vowed he would have a good life from that day on. Thankfully, Liam did not have any debilitating injuries. They nursed him back to health, and a woman named Tammy Hardison took him in for foster care.
Liam learned to live the life of a regular house dog. He loved new toys, and an orange stuffed puppy became his favorite. He took this toy with him wherever he went.
Before long, Liam was officially adopted by a woman named Leslie Owen, who instinctively knew he had a sweet soul. Leslie was aware that Liam still had a long way to go to get over his past, but she was prepared to do anything for him.
Liam was welcomed by his new fur sister, Dalia, who was rescued from the streets like him. As soon as they met, Liam took to her immediately. He was not afraid to show his playful self around her.
Liam liked to stay close to Dalia as much as possible. Sometimes he would lay next to her. Other times, he would lay on top of her, but Dalia did not seem to mind. Leslie suspected that she secretly loved Liam’s attention.
Leslie loved pampering her dogs. She prepared home-cooked meals for them to make sure they got complete nutrition. She also spoiled Liam by giving him a new toy every now and then because she knew how much he loved stuffies.
Liam thrived. He was in a place where love abounds, and he no longer had to live in fear.
